Yoga to me is an inward journey towards personal integration ("yoking") of body, mind and spirit, involving not just a physical (asana) practice, but also breathing and meditative practices, as well as lifestyle choices. Yoga isn't about what you can do on a mat or with your body, it's your journey back to your Self, the deepest and purest part of your being. It's coming home to who you truly are, integrated on all levels of your being, a lifelong journey towards restoring wholeness and peace within.
Regardless of your age, flexibility level or physical circumstances, everyone can do and benefit from yoga. From stretching and strengthening your body to accessing deeper states of relaxation, spiritual awakening and personal growth, yoga is an individual experience and practice that often evolves over time, unraveling much more than ever expected.
There are many styles and approaches to yoga with no right or wrong. First and foremost, yoga is about you - not the instructor, not the studio, not the fancy yoga gear. What do you need physically? What do you need mentally? What do you need spiritually? My goal is to offer a non-competitive, comfortable and inviting environment for you to explore the dimensions of your body and mind, finding deep relaxation while practicing being present. Instead of working towards an idealized form, focus is placed on building mindfulness and on learning about and listening to the needs of your body, mind and heart in the moment.
