group yoga classes
Classes are open to all levels and require no previous experience (must be at least 16 years of age). Unless otherwise noted, classes are 75 minutes in length starting promptly with centering and breath awareness and ending in Savasana for deep relaxation and integration of poses. As a courtesy to other participants, please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time; late arrivals will not be permitted.

Hatha yoga classes incorporate classical yoga asanas (postures), breath work and gentle warming movements to build strength, flexibility and balance. Emphasis is placed on alignment and using the breath to connect the body, mind and spirit. A variety of poses (from basic to more advanced) are offered to open and explore the body’s full ranges of movement, with modifications given for beginners and more advanced students. All classes end with a period of relaxation, allowing time for the mind and the body to assimilate the benefits of the poses completed.* (75 minutes)
Gentle Yoga classes are designed to slowly stretch and strengthen the muscles and joints that are used in everyday life. Deep breathing and relaxation are incorporated to calm the body and mind, cultivating mindfulness and awareness as you move through basic poses and allow your body to open in an easeful, relaxing environment. This class will increase your strength, flexibility and balance, leading to greater health and vitality, and is ideal for beginners, seniors, those less physically active or anyone with or recovering from an injury.* (75 minutes)

Participants must be at least 16 years of age unless otherwise specified in a class or workshop description. If you are under the age of 18, parent signature is required on the Participation Information Form before you may participate. As with any physical activity, please consult with your doctor prior to and regarding participation in any yoga class.
